Welcome to our new series called The Social Selection! Each Sunday, I’ll highlight some of my social media posts and give you a bit more background on the display such as where to purchase the decor, interesting stories about decor items, or other tidbits. This week is all about Christmas traditions!
DIY Farmhouse Floating Shelves
This week we worked on some DIY farmhouse floating shelves (be sure to check out the blog post here). I really love how these floating shelves turned out! I’m slowly but surely finishing off the loft/playroom area and these shelves have come a long way in finishing the space.

Christmas Lights
This is my favorite time of year! One Christmas tradition we have is to spend our nights driving around and looking at all the pretty lights. I’ve always liked Christmas lights with red, green, and white and Little Miss was so excited when they went up this year.

Christmas Traditions – Stockings!
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is stockings! Growing up, I was always excited to find out what sort of treat would be left in there and I love continuing that tradition for Little Miss. I think the console table ended up being the perfect place for our stockings (I always struggle with where to put them without a fireplace).

Christmas Traditions – Treats!
This time of year is the time of baking! One of our favorite treats is Christmas crack (what we call Chex Christmas mix) and with the amount I make I should probably be considered a candy shop.

Christmas Console
The rest of my console table consists of contemporary wooden cone Christmas trees, line art, my clock, and a Christmas tree.
